Reference DSD DAC With MQA Decoding Handles DSD256, DXD, 32-Bit PCM, and Vinyl Via Built-In Phono Preamplifier: MyTek Brooklyn Also Touts Headphone Amp, Full Suite of Digital Inputs
The world's first consumer-grade DAC with built-in MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) decoding, the reference-caliber Mytek Brooklyn changes the audio landscape by also offering a built-in phono preamplifier, high-current 500mA headphone amplifier with dual jacks, and both XLR balanced and single-ended outputs. Brooklyn gives music lovers the best of both worlds – two times over. It processes cutting-edge digital and vinyl LPs with extreme detail, dynamics, and clarity. And it invites you to hear your favorite tunes in compelling sound either via speakers or headphones. Functional and flexible, and graced with a chiseled faceplate, Brooklyn is one of the most exciting – and satisfying – high-end components to hit the market in years. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.
Able to process 32-bit PCM, DSD, and DXD, Brooklyn is fueled by an ESS Sabre chip and Mytek's proprietary Femtoclock Generator, which reduces internal jitter to inconceivably low levels. Brooklyn allows users to choose from either a 1dB step analog-domain volume attenuator or 1dB step digital-domain 32-bit attenuator with purist relay bypass. Better still, the analog preamp's line-level input can be reconfigured to accept MM and MC cartridges. On the digital side, all digital inputs can be routed into computer via USB2. Plus, you can also hook up CD players, ADCs, and Linux-based servers to Brooklyn. The host of S/PDIF, Toslink, and AES/EBU digital inputs are complemented by upgradeable firmware and an elegant remote. Speaking of beauty, Brooklyn's feature set and sonic character are so impressive, they almost outshine its gorgeously matte-finished sculpted faceplate and attractive display readout. A two-year manufacturer's warranty is the crowning touch. Time to take the F train to Brooklyn!
